Rachel here, writing an update on behalf of the Jamaica Team! We have had a wonderful day and a half so far, everyone is well, and happy to be here!!
We arrived safely yesterday at 1 pm and were held up in lineups at the airport until 3:30pm when we had loaded all 34 bags and 14 carry ons into Mike's bus and were on our way to Dalley's Variety Shop (where we are staying for the 8 nights). We had a very warm welcome from Aunty Dalley, Aunty Gloria, Aunty Nicey, Aunty Rose, and Dr.Sharpe, the pastor of Westgate Hills where we will be doing construction and programs all week.
Having been in the same location years ago, it is so special to see faces and especially to see the enormous progress that has occured at Westgate Hills. There is now a SOLID second level, a strong roof, and all floors are cement!! Unbelievable and so encouraging!! Dr.Sharpe is so pleased to have us, and during our debrief last night, it is obvious that the team is enjoying the experience just as much.Today we went for church at Westgate at 9:30 and got home at 1:50. We've eaten well (the Aunty's are taking very good care of us!) and we're keeping hydrated!!
We hope to update this blog throughout the week! Thank you for your prayers and continue to pray for the team, that we would be a blessing and encourage the family of God here in Montego Bay!!

The kiddies here are behaving (Nat and Tony) and miss mom and dad a little, (so far),,,
